Personnel issues present some of the most burdensome non-clinical challenges to productive, efficient and cost-effective practice operation, including various legal and financial risks. Mid-Lakes will provide staffing services utilizing individuals that you select to meet your non-physician staffing needs, assign them to you, and bill you a single rate that incorporates all of the following:

  • Employee wages, withholdings and statutory expenses
  • Payroll processing (checks, withholding, federal and state filings and deposits)
  • Fringe Benefits and Administration
  • Temporary staff coverage
  • Employee Handbooks
  • Job descriptions
  • Performance appraisal
  • Counseling & Discipline
  • Policies and Procedures
  • Compliance (OSHA, etc.)
  • Wage surveys and scales
  • Recruitment
  • Group rate discounts (benefits, insurances, etc.)
  • Benchmarking – local and MGMA (national)

Physicians are able to maintain control of personnel while transferring administrative, financial risk and regulatory compliance issues to Mid-Lakes, which has the systems and expertise to accommodate all personnel-related functions. Currently, 105 of Mid-Lakes’ 135 employees are assigned to client offices.

They include Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, RN’s, LPN’s and Medical Assistants, transcriptionists, secretaries and registration clerks. The structure provided by Mid-Lakes in this environment allows for fewer, more focused and accountable employees and the elimination of the non-financial burdens of personnel administration.

Midlakes provides the flexibility to integrate staff benefits with client physician retirement programs, and choice as to individual fringe benefits.
